OBAMA - (history lesson) - VP Aaron Burr introduced the elimination of the ability for a Senator to "call for a vote" and so senators began to fight the other party's legislation by talking it to death; the filibuster can be over-ridden by a "super majority" (i.e., 60%), which led to today's situation that nothing really ever passes unless 60+ senators vote for it.

VAUGHAN-LEE - he says women's suffering has been caused by men, and until women are ready, they will not act to open up the life of the earth; Vaughan-Lee says this is about to happen, and we will once again see the image of God on earth.

HAIDT - Glaucon got it right - we should not be about our REPUTATIONS to see moral clarity; rather, our TRUE SELVES.  Haidt agrees with Glaucon.

FRANKL - he remembers how it was to be a doctor in the camp, attending to the sick; they were either dead, gravely ill (they got nothing), mildly ill (they got 1/2 aspirin), or superficially ill (they got nothing).  He was "allowed" by fate to have 5 minutes of alone time (maybe more than once a day), in which he dreamed of Bavaria.... but could only see clouds.  His point, I think, is that human beings need to be together at some times, but also need alone time.  Only a few of the prisoners there when Frankl was, were able to have any alone time.
