SILENCE
Tried to silence brain for 70 seconds; counted w/random thoughts mixed in
LLL
Love. Laugh. Live.

VISUALIZATION
188.8 Yesterday's weight
188.4 Today's weight
-0.4
I visualize weighing less tomorrow.
Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
- I already have everything I need.
- George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
- I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, if I lose a pound every 1-2 days, I should be down to approx.
186 by April 30th.
Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:
- Diet: I had two meals yesterday: 1) my smoothie & coffee around 10-11am; and 2) frozen Shepherd's Pie dinner + 1 slice dry toast + chips + 1 fig newton (covered with peanut butter) for dinner at around 3:30 pm
- I did not eat anything between these meals (approx 18 hours fasting)
- I exercised (full routine - see below)
- It's April 29th, and I weigh (199.0 - 10.6) 188.4
EXERCISE
Did my full base-72 routine for Friday, April 29, 2022:
- ankle/wrist circles 72
- toe/finger stretches 72
- bicycle crunches 72
- shoulder rolls 72
- inversion table 1 2-min set (but coughed..... logically this doesn't make sense, since I thought coughing was a muscle spasm to get phlegm out of my airways & lungs. While upside down, the phlegm should naturally flow down & out, right?)
- EPLEY MANEUVER 1Ram
- ball/wall 12
- angel/wall 12
- counter stretches 12
- flamingo R30, L30 (could have done more, but for now, 30 steady is the goal)
- squats 36
- push-ups 36
I'm considering adding more to abs, since my pot belly is still not flat; maybe I can't get rid of it completely, but I can shrink it, and maybe even make it stronger - show a little abs, eh? A subject for visualization in a future post.
READING, WRITING
Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari. He says that the thinkers & philosophers who lived in the modern era (i.e. 1500 til today) gave up the idea that absolute knowledge could come from mythology and/or scripture. In 1687, Isaac Newton published "The Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy" (which, Harari says, could be the most important book written in the modern era). In it, Newton laid down 3 basic mathematical equations which allow us to predict the position of any object. The most notable (to me) of the 3 equations is F=MA. The equations apply to an apple falling from a tree, or a planet orbiting the sun.
Right now, Newton's work seems amazing to me. But later scientists found that there were cases in which Newton's laws didn't work, and that developed the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics.
Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama. He remembers the weeks before the election, when he began to realize that he was a symbol of HOPE for the country. But he knew he was still the "flawed" individual that he'd always been. He felt conflicted by the enthusiasm of the campaign ("Fired up, ready to go!") and realizing that a whole country (world?) would soon be looking to him for answers to both major and minor issues: two wars, health care..... every headline brought new challenges of every size to his mind.
I'm going to say that the responsibility of the presidency was ALREADY (by this point in time) weighing heavily on BO's shoulders.
Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee. He says joy goes with laughter. Laughter is spontaneous and comes from the joy of living. There is the superficial laughter, and then the deeper laughter which applies to the realization that we are (or should be) well beyond taking life seriously; we absurdly think that the darkensses and challenges warrant too much sadness.
Vaughn-Lee tells the story of a Sufi named Nasruddin, who rode a donkey faster than normal (the donkey had been spooked); friends asked him why he was going to fast, to which he replied, "Don't ask me. Ask my donkey!" It's humorous, but in a well-worn way (to me).
Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt. He says that Damasio's discoveries brought us to the realization that reasoning requires the passions.
What would the following say about this?
Plato - Damasio is 180 degrees off from Plato. But Plato didn't realize that passions were not centered in the heart or stomach, but in the brain.
Jefferson - Damasio's patients should have still fared well in the undamaged half of the brain (i.e., the half that is always ruled by the head).
Hume - Damasio's patients fit Hume's model best: when the MASTER (passions) drops dead, the SERVANT (reasoning) has neither the ability nor the desire to keep the estate running.
I can tell that Haidt is now "gearing up" to introducing the elephant/rider analogy.
Read for 70 seconds in MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING by Viktor Frankl. He says the camp prisoners had diverse reactions to being there. Of those who survived, Frankl noticed that there were 3 "phases" they went through:
1. Period upon being admitted, which was characterized by shock, which might have begun even before they arrived in the camp.
2. Period during imprisonment, in which the person was well entrenched in camp life.
3. Period after imprisonment, after being released.
Listened for 30+ minutes in ULYSSES by James Joyce.👌

Yesterday, DT received a lengthy letter from Susan Thomas, who laid out the plans for funding her world-wide projects, of which one is to purchase the Akanda mine in NV. So... if all she laid out comes to pass, then TODAY could be "the beginning" of the D-ERA I have waited for for so very long.
We'll see; DT is due to talk to Michael today, and will then contact me.
