Read for 1+ pages in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.  He says, again, that we must focus on the inner awareness which is given to us, and we must use that awareness to deal with the outer world.  Several phrases he uses make sense, but do not come to mind as I write.  Since one of the concepts he presents DOES come to mind:  whatever we need is given to us...... I can rely on that, and not be concerned about memorizing and internalizing every phrase.

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that during the St. Bartholomew Massacre in 1572, between 5K and 10K Protestants were killed by Catholics; the Pope was elated.  More Protestants were killed that day than Catholics killed by the Holy Roman Empire.  And yet, when I think back on my understanding of history, I would have said that many MORE Christians were killed by Romans than might have been killed in any subsequent battles.

Harari is definitely anti-Christian (they kill their own in the name of religion).

Read 60 seconds in YOU ARE A WRITER by Jeff Goins.  He says I should not give up, and the day will come when Editors and Publishers will come to me for articles & books.  The phrase "jump the shark" comes to mind; not really applicable, but it connotes a change in the way my career will work.  Before, I'm begging THEM to read my writing; and After, they're begging ME to write more so they can publish my work.  Keep on writing.

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that the only god the Roman Empire did not accept was the Christian god.  However, they only persecuted Christians 4 times (in the 300 years between Christ and Constantine's conversion to Christianity), and they only killed a few thousand Christians.  In contrast, the Christians, in the same period of time, killed millions of other Christians owing to the victims not accepting a specific belief or doctrine.

Harari is pointing this out as a matter of fact, but I also sense that he is anti-Christian, based on his tone.

Read 60 seconds in YOU ARE A WRITER by Jeff Goins.  He says, summarizing, that I will have to develop solid relationships with Editors (people), knock on doors (publishing companies), ask for an article to be published, etc....... until I have "arrived."  And even after I have arrived, IF I am good, I'll keep doing these things.  Eventually, Editors and Publishers will contact ME, rather than I, them.

Read for 1+ page in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee.  He says we must "go beyond," "step into the vortex," and participate.  His phrasology seems to say that we have a choice.  And yet, he says that this transition is inevitable.  Also, he latches on to the unlimited world of advancing technology, and how it will facilitate the transition he's explaining to the reader.

NOTE:  I thought as I read today that Llewellyn's writing style includes repeating the same ideas many, many times; and I think it's by design.  I am slow to absorb messages, and my mind is easily distracted to adjacent ideas and threads of thought.  So when I pull myself back into focused reading, I realize that he is, in fact, quite repititious.  And I'm glad about that, in spite of it making my reading comprehension so painfully slow.

An Editor is hard to come by, and I should NOT MESS IT UP!!!  IOW, I should think BIG PICTURE, and LONG TERM.

A liberal freelance writer recorded him and printed his statement word-for-word in Huffington Post.

BO comments:  "This is what separates even the most liberal writers from their conservative counterparts - the willingness to flay politicians on their own side."

NOTE:  This sums up what's happening today.  The GOP and the conservative press are unbending (by and large) in support of Trump; in contrast, the Dems and the liberal press are quite willing to discect Biden & his efforts, to date.

I'm led to wonder when the true Americans in either party will surface, and will it been soon enough to save our Democracy & Freedoms.

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that monotheistic beliefs incorporate the idea that it is of no value to solicit every-day blessings from God, since he is not concerned with individuals and their challenges; to him, it makes no difference which country prevails in war, who gets well or dies, etc.  Far Eastern religions (Hindu) adopted the idea that people should embrace whatever good or bad might befall them, but then to tie it to their supreme being (Atman). 

Read 60 seconds in YOU ARE A WRITER by Jeff Goins.  He says I should build long-term relationships with an EDITOR (a person), not a PUBLISHER (NOT a person).  After they publish me, they'll be more likely to publish me again.  I should not start over with someone else, if I can help it.

Wright (who's exclamation most noted was "GODDAM AMERICA!") threatened to derail him completely.  However, he made a damage repair speech, and his popularity began to tick up again slowly.  His most significant review of the speech came from his Grandmother in Hawaii.

SKETCHING

Today, I did a color "study" - concentric circles from light (yellow) in the center, to dark (black) on the outside.  I am using the 10 markers I have been using in this sketchpad.  I'm going to confine my sketches to these markers, and the 10 colors.

NOTE ABOUT SKETCHING:  I'm "jumping in" to see what it's like, but almost every time I think about drawing/sketching anything, I feel quite inadequate.  And I wonder what GG or Bill or family will think OF it.  Will they secretly say to themselves that I have no artistic talent, and should not bother?  Or that seeing my work is an embarrassment (or OUGHT to be)?

I'm going to TRY not to let those thoughts dominate, and just "produce" artwork of any kind and at any level.
