VISUALIZATION

 This morning, I'm depressed over an incident with Dr. P yesterday.  BUT.....

I still realize that I have approximately 6 weeks (less 6 days) until I leave for Europe.  I'm STILL bothered by my protruding gut, and I'm STILL about 10-15 pounds heavier than I'd like to be.  SO......

Because of a change in plans, today is again a FAST DAY.

I'm continuing my plan for the next 15 days.  I'll continue to lose an average of 1/2 pound every day (10 pounds in 20 days), by continuing the following regimen:


EXERCISE
  • FAST DAYS (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
5:00 - 5:45  1/2 routine
5:45 - 6:30  PIANO
6:30 - 7:00 2/2 routine
  • SLOW DAYS (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Later - Full routine
Later - 1 Hour Piano
Visit Gym?


DIET, which means........... NOTHING BETWEEN MEALS!!!!!!!!!!

  • FAST DAYS (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

7:00 AM Smoothie/coffee

6:00 PM  Veggie or frozen dinner w/1 slice toast&butter, nuts&raisin dessert

  • SLOW DAYS (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

10:00 AM  Smoothie/coffee

4-6:00 PM  Veggie or frozen dinner w/1 slice toast&butter, nuts&raisin dessert.




Today turns out to be a "FAST DAY" - since Dr. P changed his mind - AGAIN! -, and wants me to come in.

DAY 6

I made it to "Day 6" (i.e., 20240516)- !!!!!  YAY!!!!!


My new program to lose weight before my trip to Europe next month, consists of the desire to lose weight before I leave (I leave in about 30 days from now).

I've continued well, by doing my routine this morning, and by restricting my diet to 2 meals a day, and each one is going to be portion-controlled, and healthy.

My  weight went down by 0.8 pounds - at least I'm going in the right direction.
YAY! 

Since my annual checkup last month was good, I'm generally feeling good about my health; however.....

My blood panel showed a mildly alarming glucose level, which is within the range called "pre-diabetic."

REALLY??????  I guess I need to take it seriously, even though the reading was at the lower end of the range called "pre-diabetic."  So now I'm more conscious of what I'm eating and how much I'm exercising.

Hence,  my new program to lose weight and eat healthier.  I'm on Day 6.

The "Internet" tells me that if you're "pre-diabetic" you should:

  1. ✅Eat healthy foods:  a diet high in fruits and vegetables, nuts, whole grains and olive oil
  2. ✅Exercise more.
  3. ✅Lose excess weight (that's part of my plan)
  4. ✅Quit smoking  (never started)
  5. ✅Take meds as needed.
The list is posted on my dresser mirror.

So far, I've done MOST of the above for 6 days.  YAY!!  I'm visualizing success!!

BUT..... I was again disappointed this morning when I weighed myself, and I again weigh only 0.8 pounds less than I did yesterday.  :-(

On the bright side, I didn't gain any weight.  And I'm STILL visualizing success!!
