READING, WRITING

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Ivan Harari.  He says
that Homo Sapiens gradually adopted the culture of eating grain; along with that, they learned how to limit the frequency of pregnancy (and family size) since they were still nomadic.  He states that "round the clock nursing" is an effective means of birth control (I didn't know that, or maybe I forgot it.)

Grains grew more and more, and people began to cultivate them, cook them and eat them.

I still have trouble with this author in the way he phrases his ideas.  He said that people "inadvertantly" began to sow seeds, when it could have easily been that some people actually promoted the planting and harvesting of grains.... right from the start.  There could have been excitement in the village over wheat grains:  the new food.  But he's the prof, so he likely is correct.
