READING, WRITING

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that the transition from hunter/gatherer to agricultural took some groups (i.e., the Latufians in the Lavant) about 3,000 years (from 12,500 to 9,500).  During this transitional period, they learned how to seasonally harvest wheat, and that gave rise to permanent villages (stone), along with necessary tools to process the wheat crops.

All this makes sense to me.  I think the author means for us to lament the loss of the hunter/gatherer groups who roamed the planet.  But I'm not sure that it was such a bad idea for humans to make this transition.

But who knows?
