Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
  1. I already have everything I need.
  2. George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
  3. I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, losing approx 0.5 pounds every day, I will be down to approx. 
180 by May 15th.

Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:

  1. Diet:  I had two meals yesterday: 1) my smoothie & coffee around 10-11am; and 2) Indian lamb/rice frozen dinner + chips + 1 fig newton (no peanut butter) for dinner at around 4:00 pm
  2. I did not eat anything between these meals (approx 18 hours fasting)
  3. I exercised (full routine - see below)
  4. It's May 3rd, and I weigh (199.0 - 11.4 187.6

Amazingly, I lost 1.4 pounds in ONE DAY!  Scale inaccuracy?  Extra excrement?  Visualization?  Who knows?

READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says Wilson & Websters predictions & probability studies became statistics science.  This led to demographic studies, which, in turn, was the basis for Darwin's development of the Theory of Evolution.  Prediction, probability, statistics, demographics and evolution all found their way into the modern sciences (physics, psychology, and all the rest); eventually, it also influenced quantum mechanics, etc.


Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He recalls election day (his first one) playing basketball w/friends, going to vote, hanging out..... etc.  He eventually got called to downtown Chicago, where they would watch the returns with the campaign.  He & family drove, and Malia asked "Daddy, did you win?"  "I think so," he said.  "Why do you ask?"



Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.  He describes this life journey as if we are sailing/rowing a boat through all kinds of waters:  some calm, some turbulant, always unknown, but also always filled with wonder and beauty.


Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt.  He says at UVA, he & his assistant conducted 5 group experiments about morality.  The first wa Kohlberg's "Heinz Dilemma" which presupposed that Heinz must steal vital medicine.  The group would not succum to "dumbfoundness" Haidt thought he might see in some; but all sided with Heinz' stealing for medicine/life.


Read for 70 seconds in MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING by Viktor Frankl.  He says 1500 camp prisoners were crammed into a small space built for about only 200; no place to squat, let alone to lie down.  They had only 1 chunk of bread to last for 4 days.  They also traded whatever they could to the guards for schnapps - something to deaden their pain & suffering.

MY NOTE:  This is soooooo depressing.  I'm thinking about those poor souls having to deal with such horrors, and then I realize that evil Russian Putin is perpetrating much the same horror on the innocent people of Ukrain - TODAY!!

Well here I set, waiting again.  David's due to call anytime.  Maybe today's the day we get definite proof & money.....?  Likely not today, thought.  More likely in early June.

But he SAID he'd contact me after his meeting at 9am (10 his time).  So far, nothing.  (it's 10:35 am)

Waiting............................ (again)


Well, he called.  And, really nothing has changed.  DAMN!  I can hardly believe it's come to more waiting.
