VISUALIZATION

193.6  Yesterday's weight

192.6  Today's weight

-1.0

I visualize weighing less tomorrow.

Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
  1. I already have everything I need.
  2. George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
  3. I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, if I lose approx 0.5 pounds every day, I should be down to approx.
190 by May 16th.

Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:

  1. Diet:  I had XXXXX meals yesterday: 1) my smoothie & coffee around 10-11am; and 2) frozen dinner + 2 slice buttered & jam toast + chips + X fig newton (covered with peanut butter & or jam) + pickle & cheese sandwich for dinner at around ALL DAY pm  UGHHH
  2. I did not eat anything between these meals (approx 10-12 hours fasting)
  3. I exercised (full routine - see below)
  4. It's May 11th, and I weigh (199.0 - 6.4) 192.6

READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says science and technology only got married for the long-term in the early 17th C (when Bacon published his manifesto "The New Instrument").  Today, we tend to think of science & technology as the same field.

Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He recalls after winning the election how he was hosted by W & Laura Bush, and the feelings of awe as he visited the Oval Office for the first time; he felt like it was "a lot" to take in on that first day.

Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.  He says that "magic" is a natural energy which facilitates us on our path; each person has his/her own path.  S/he is often not aware of it, and it's kept mostly hidden from him/her to avoid using it for personal gain.  But if s/he can manage it well, it will benefit him/her AND the other people, animals and plants nearby.

Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt.  He says his interviewees (the brother/sister sex scenario) consistently held to their emotional morality, and could not easily (or at all) adapt to their reasonal morality.  In that, they were "HUMEan."

He'll next discuss Kohlberg's "Heinz dilemma" - where Heinz must decide if he'll steal a drug in order to save his wife's life.

Read for 70 seconds in MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING by Viktor Frankl.  He says he was one of the "luckier" prisoners in the camp, but still had to fork over ALL his possessions, including a manuscript that represented his life's work.  The prison guards/workers were amused with the idea that prisoners could keep ANYthing at all.  It became obvious to Frankl that he was not to be gassed - he was to be cleaned.

Listened for 30 min in ULYSSES by James Joyce.👌
