VISUALIZATION

194.8  Today's weight

I visualize weighing less tomorrow

Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
  1. I already have everything I need.
  2. George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
  3. I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, if I lose approx 0.5 pounds every day, I should be down to approx.
190 by May 24th.

Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:

  1. Diet:  I had XXXXX meals yesterday: 1) my smoothie & coffee around 10-11am; and 2) frozen dinner + 2 slice buttered & jam toast + chips + X fig newton (covered with peanut butter & or jam) + pickle & cheese sandwich for dinner at around ALL DAY pm  UGHHH
  2. I did not eat anything between these meals (approx 10-12 hours fasting)
  3. I exercised (full routine - see below)
  4. It's May 11th, and I weigh (199.0 - 4.2) 194.8

READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says SCIENCE has become the 3rd "partner" in Eisenhower's pronounced "military-industrial complex."  Today, scientists are heavily involved in weapons development, as well as standard of living enhancements.

Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He recalls the first days of his transition from George W Bush to his term:  he mostly listened, and was surprised by W's statement that by Jan 20, W would have takend care of the economic crisis.  BO didn't believe him, but kept silent.

Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.  He says we must learn how to dissolve barriers in our lives, and to discern darkness from light, but all the while managing the amount & intensity of the light so we can deal with it well:  he quotes T.S.Elliot who said that humankind cannot bear too much light.  I.e., it has to be gradual.

Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt.  He says Hume is probably right when it comes to deciding what causes our moral judgments:  emotion.  But Haidt wonders if that's always true, so his experiments will try to find out.

Read for 70 seconds in MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING by Viktor Frankl.  He describes more of the horros of Auschwitz, too horrible to repeat here.

Listened for 30 min to ULYSSES by James Joyce.
