Did my full base-70 routine for Thursday, August 20, 2020

Arm pain:  seems to be subsiding, or subsided for now, I don't know which.  I took 2 Tylenol PM last night, and this morning, the pain was quite a bit less.  Although I can still feel the pain, they did not prevent me from doing all of the above as usual.

READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that human history, when viewed from a "bird's eye" perspective, and with a scale of millennia (not centuries), it is "crystal clear" that human societies are moving in the direction of UNITY.  Disintegration events (e.g., the break up of Christianity) are merely "speed bumps."

I accept his theory, which I assume is based on his research.  When we "view" history with millennia in mind, humans have been here (in present form) only for a short time.  So I expect Harari will show that our progress toward UNITY is obvious when viewed in that way.

Read for 70 seconds in YOU ARE A WRITER by Jeff Goins.  He says I should treat people with compassion, and I should write from a place that is deep and true.  If I do these things, people will come to me, rather than my having to make efforts to "get noticed."

Now, Jeff says, comes the hard part:  actually doing the writing.
