I'm at the Town & Country "Resort" in the highrise on the 8th floor, in a nice room with a nice view, attending the "short therapy" conference with Dr. Pruitt.
Amazing that I find myself here, after the chance meeting Dr. P and I had about 3 years ago.
I thought David's Deal would happen THAT MONTH! And it did not.
We had a few false starts, even to the point that David began paying me $1000 a month (that went 5 months and ended a year ago). And several times, he's assured me that the DEAL money would be starting "next week."
I have to believe it will, eventually.
But for now, the silence and the waiting are almost overbearing. I don't know what attitude to take about it all.
Maybe today.
*sigh*
