Last night, I spent a good while on the phone with Lisa, discussing her and Joe's therapy they had recently; it apparently was measurably productive; I have yet to talk to Joe about it.
A song's phrase came to mind as I spoke to Lisa; it's from Karen Carpenter's song "I know I need to be in love:
I know I expect perfection in a quite imperfect world,
And fool enough to think that's what I'll find.
And in another song, Karen Carpenter sings:
You're always finding something
is wrong in what I do
But you can't rearrange my lifeBecause it pleases youThis might be a good message for Joe to give to Lisa.
