READING, WRITING

Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that the farmers appearing during the Agricultural Revolution gradually shifted the labor needed from humans to animals, and that the domesticated animals also provided food (meat, milk) and raw materials (e.g., hides).  Their numbers went from a few million world wide to more than a billion world wide.

Harari considers that from a "narrow evolutionary perspective," the AR was a boon to these animals, since they became so prolific.  But......he has some other perspectives to bring up in the next session.

(NOTE:  I'm trying to read for 60 seconds, put the book down, and then write about what I've read; I usually have to pick the book up a 2nd time to recall a particular idea or term.  I'm hoping that I eventually won't have to pick the book back up at all.)
