READING, WRITING
Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari. He says that not all Agricultural Revolution (12.5K BC to 8.5K BC) sapiens were cruel farmers. And not all species were kept in confined conditions (in order to give the maximum advantage to the farmer). Harari compares the treatment of herd animals to slaves: some were mistreated, others were loved. But in spite of this more loving approach, they were (are) still mistreated when compared to wild animals.
So what are we to make of sheep who have wool to "give" to people. Are they better left alone?
It's quite confusing to me. I'm wondering if we shouldn't become vegans. What would I have to remove from my life in order to become a pure vegan? Would I do that or anything like it at my age, and in this society?
George is vegan. Kelpfish is vegetarian. What am I?
