VISUALIZATION
194.8 Today's weight
195.2 Yesterday's weight
-0.4
I visualize weighing less tomorrow.
NOTE: Monday (0328), I wrote:
I visualize weighing less tomorrow, through:
- Eating only 2 meals every day: 1) Smoothie at 10am-11am, and 2) Dinner at 4pm-5pm.
- NOT eating anything between meals.
- Exercising every day
Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
- David's D-Day will likely happen sometime between now and APRIL 11, and I want to be in as good of physical (and therefore mental) shape as I can be.
- George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
- I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, if I lose a pound every 1-2 days, I should be down to approx. 193 by April 4th.
Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:
- Yesterday, I had only 2 meals: 1) smoothie & coffee at 10-11am, and 2) Steamed beef/broccoli, w/chips dinner at 4pm
- I had NOTHING between these meals.
- I exercised yesterday morning, and I exercised this morning (see below)
- It's April 3rd, and I now weigh (199.0 - 4.2) 194.8
EXERCISE

READING, WRITING
Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari. He says that Hitler dug his own grave by establishing a "us" and "them" mentality in his entourage. If he knew about the findings about race equality, he ignored them. White supremacy was a long time changing: USA, Australia & others didn't get there politically until the 1960s-1970s. Hitler believed in his own brand of "humanity."
Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama. He recalls moving to a condo in Hyde Park where they lived for the later 1990s & early 2000s; he was a smoker (outside), and they were a typical young family with cribs and birthday parties, and........ a rat infestation.
Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee. He says that in our current state (of the world), we are constantly faced with lavish platters of food (which look inviting on the outside) which are actually rotton inside. In a dream, a man comes to the feast (Wall Street), but a woman opens a door to a yellow room full of energy - a place of safety against all the corruption of the material world.
NOTE: I'm led to ask, if this yellow safety room is here now, why was it not here 100 years ago? Or was it? Either way, I too am faced by a "feast" coming next week, and I must make decisions about how I will handle it. Yes, it will bring relief from my current struggles, but also, I will use it wisely. Perhaps this 10 years of waiting has a purpose - to greet the feast properly, and in a way that benefits God, my family, my friends, and the world of hurting people. My scale is of no importance.
Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt. He says Turiel's research led him to understand that kids don't always treat rules the same way. They follow Piaget & Kohlberg's structure of the development stages, in general. But they don't treat all rules the same. They accept early on that rules meant to prevent harm are universal: harm is wrong (a moral truth). But kids of all ages & cultures seem to distinguish between MORAL rules and CONVENTIONAL rules. Turiel concludes that it's about treating individuals well. It's about harm and fairness. This necessarily leads (Haidt says) to embodying principles of autonomy and equality.
