VISUALIZATION

195.4  Yesterday's weight

195.2  Today's weight

-0.2

I visualize weighing less tomorrow

NOTE:  Monday (0328), I wrote:

I visualize weighing less tomorrow, through:

  1. Eating only 2 meals every day:  1) Smoothie at 10am-11am, and 2) Dinner at 4pm-5pm.
  2. NOT eating anything between meals.
  3. Exercising every day
Reasons I'm AGAIN motivated are
  1. David's D-Day will likely happen sometime between now and APRIL 11, and I want to be in as good of physical (and therefore mental) shape as I can be.
  2. George tells me that if a person can stand on one foot for X seconds/minutes, then s/he will likely live longer.
  3. I feel better overall when I'm doing my exercises regularly
So, if I lose a pound every 1-2 days, I should be down to approx. 192 by April 4th.

Here's how I've done during the last 24 hours:

  1. Yesterday, I had only 2 meals:  1) smoothie & coffee at 10-11am, and 2) Steamed veggies dinner at 4pm
  2. I had NOTHING between these meals.
  3. I exercised yesterday morning, and I exercised this morning (see below)
  4. It's April 2nd, and I now weigh (199.0 - 3.8) 195.2

EXERCISE

Did my full base-72 routine for Saturday, April 2, 2022:

  1. ankle/wrist circles 72
  2. toe/finger stretches 72
  3. bicycle crunches 72
  4. shoulder rolls 72
  5. inversion table 1 1-min set
  6. EPLEY MANEUVER 1Ram
  7. ball/wall 12
  8. angel/wall 12
  9. counter stretch 12
  10. flamingo R29, L24
  11. squats 36
  12. push-ups 36
NOTE:  for all my disciplined dieting and exercising, I expected to lose more than 0.2 pounds yesterday/today.  Average since Monday:  0.6 pounds per day.

READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says that the Nazi theory of Ayran racial superiority (in morality, intellectualism and looks) was debunked shortly after WWII (1947); a study showed that the differences were FAR smaller than had been assumed.  However, it was after centuries of history stamped with the white elitism & protection thereof, so change was (and still is) very slow.

Read for 70 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He recalls forming his opinions about Sarah Palin, McCain's running mate for VP in 2007.  BO's evaluation of her was negative (and therefore not a cause for concern as regards his chances for winning), because she didn't know much about anything.  She was not a person who could easily step in if McCain were to die. But beyond that, BO was HIGHLY concerned about her acceptance into the GOP:  they likened her to Reagan, who had little experience, but who grew into the job.  However, when she showed her incompetance merely in political discourse, BO observed that she was just trying to cover her lack of knowledge with a string of words.  Even MORE troubling was the acceptance of the GOP of untruths and halftruths, just to win.

Moral:  Politicians must do their homework.

Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.  He says "uncharted territory is the only landscape worth exploring."  And he also says "Like chaos, darkness carries the energy of creation,"  He advises me (us) to "let go" when confronted with darkness:  there is "a stream of honey" within the earth, and under the oceans.
Well, I get the idea, but I'm not completely sure what it means to me.  I'll continue reading.

Read for 70 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt.  He says that children develop their moral understandings at different times.  Kohlberg's student, Elliot Turiel developed a series of questions to ask kids (5 years) that would reveal their conception of moral issues:  "in a school requireing uniforms, is it ok for a boy to wear regular clothes?"  (NO)  "What if the teacher told the boy it was ok to wear regular clothes, is that ok?" (YES).... etc.  Social conventions such as this are arbitrary and changeable.
