Read for 80 seconds in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He says his experiences at International Summits was enlightening, and was very aware that other summit leaders & attendees were sizing him up.
(learned a new word:  ANODYNE:  purposely inoffensive (e.g., "You do not displease me.")

Read for 80 seconds in THE RIGHTEOUS MIND by Jonathan Haidt.  He says that a Durkheimian society considers the FAMILY as the basic unit of it (and not the individual); he quotes Emile Durkheim saying that a person cannot function fully without anything above him/her.  There is an obvious need for loyalty, Sanctity, and Authority; it can't thrive without them, and with only Care and Fairness.
