READING, WRITING

Read for 70 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari.  He says in China, there has essentially been only one Empire - based on the 2000+ rule of the Han Dynasty (200 BC to 220 AD) and its successors.  Most Chinese today think of themselves as Han.

Read for 70 seconds in YOU ARE A WRITER by Jeff Goins.  He says I should get good by practicing.  Not in private, but in PUBLIC.  Write a guest post for a friend's website.  I should not be looking for "a big break" - but rather for 50 small breaks.

Note:  I do write something every day, but it's never in public.  I believe the next step for me is to send samples, however bad, to my fans (George, David, Sandie and others).  They might not have a website, but they can give me feedback.  And then I'm going to search for websites of friends who might already be writing (Dennis Kelsch).

Read for 1+ pages in A PROMISED LAND by Barack Obama.  He recalls his initial relationship with Trinity, and the controversial Reverend Wright, who caused BO grief as he became a candidate for President.  Wright apparently said many racist things in his sermons, and was quoted by a reporter in a Rolling Stone article the day before BO announced.

Read for 70 seconds in WORKING WITH ONENESS by Llewelyn Vaughan-Lee.  He says the global greed group could still "win" if we don't let go of our own personal physical and spiritual individuality, and if we don't join the movement he calls (he calls it many things) "living our essential nature for the purpose of the whole."
