I. Three devastations
a. Donald Trump being elected
b. HDA billings being screwed up
c. David's Deal being delayed (still, again)
II. Three major blessings
a. Me being a father & grandfather
b. Me being a loving friend to David Timpson, Bill Laursen.
c. Me being in generally good health.
During my meditations I was angry and depressed. I was angry that I seem to be flawed - and have been flawed from early childhood. I don't understand why others can get answers from God, and I apparently have not. And that situation, after 66 years of little change, is majorly depressing.
So, ....... um..... how did I get the motivation to do my early morning routine again today? I don't know. My memory is such that I don't even recall all of the details of the meditation! But for whatever reason, I DID the routine. And sometime during that routine, I decided to do some affirmations. Perhaps it was my observation that the 2 times in my life when I really succeeded were both when I begain to "convince" myself that I was something, even though I KNEW that I was not yet that something. Was it self-deception Perhaps. But I still told myself that I was "GOOD" - a catch-all word for what I was inside, including my potential. And a way to "crush" and "stamp out" negativity and bad characteristics, and....... flaws.
So......... here I am on my blog, ready to select the subjects for my AFFIRMATIONS. They can't be the ones I used at Burns International, when I was 26-27. And they can't be the ones I used at DKM, when I was a SyteLIne Software Salesman. What should they be NOW?
My first thought is to incorporate my routine into affirmations.

ROUTINE AFFIRMATIONS:
I. MEDITATION
1. I, Ken Taylor, am an important part of the Universe.
2. I, Ken Taylor, communicate daily with all the important parts of the Universe.
3. I, Ken Taylor, am a loving and fearless human being.
I might want to change this, since affirmations sometimes don't "hear" negative words as intended. In this affirmation, I use "fearless" but my mind might only register "fear," which is not intended. The opposite of "love" (positive) is "fear" (negative). So if I want only positive words, I'd change it to "I, Ken Taylor, am a loving human being."
On the other hand...... some contend that EVERYTHING is LOVE, even fear. If so, then I have ...... nothing to fear. LOL.
4. I, Ken Taylor, am physically healthy and well.

Post Affirmation-writing note on DAY 1:
I'm wondering how effective TYPING is, versus HAND WRITING. Logically, typing is simply another way of getting words written so that I can see that I've written them. Looking at the above exercise, I see the same result as I would see if I had hand-written the affirmations. But is there a difference in how well the ideas are internalized? I'm obsessed with punctuation and spelling.... and perhaps would also be if I were handwriting them. So that's a wash. Perhaps there is something more "artistic" in hand-writing. Typing is mechanical. Hand-writing flows more organically. But.... DOES THAT MATTER?
I don't think it matters. It takes less time to type, and I want to avoid getting caught in a "process swamp" wherein I spend far too much time on the process, and not near enough time on the message itself. The advantages of "organically flowing affirmations written by hand" are outweighed by my need to be quicker and complete and to move forward.
The point is to internalize these affirmations. I think that does happen when typing.
Another thought: I'm publishing these for all the world to read. (HA!) It's a vulnerability I would have avoided at all costs in my earlier days/years. But now, I care MUCH LESS who reads this. And I sense that there is something therapeutic in letting myself "all hang out."
