I'm not sure why things went the way they did over the past 3 days, but today is not a good day, nor was last night a good night, after the phone call from Joe Pruitt.

WHY is this a "dumb day?" Why did I do such a dumb thing? For a future Ken, and anyone else who might read this:
- At HDA, there are 2 desktop computers, and one laptop.
- Due to Dr. P's paranoia about Cergen, he asked me a few weeks ago, to change the user names & passwords on the two desktops. We didn't do the laptop.
- Changing the usernames & passwords disabled the email on the 2nd desktop, and on the laptop, but we didn't know that until a few days after.
- About 3 days ago, I activated the disabled email on the 2nd desktop, and now it works normally; but I had to receive authentication codes from both AOL and YAHOO; I received them by land-line phone, because Dr. P doesn't use his cell phone.
- On Tuesday (4/8), I began the process of activating the disabled email on the laptop. When I got to the authentication code requirement, the system would not allow me to do it by land-line phone; I don't know why that would be. However, the system WOULD allow me to do it by cell phone.
- I reasoned that Dr. P has occasionally stated that he'd like to learn how to use his cell phone, that it was probably not charged up, and that IF Dr. P should ask to learn more about it, it had better be charged up.
- I retrieved the cell phone from his nightstand where, as expected, I found that it was not charged up; so I charged it up.
- The phone (originally purchased from Spectrum) was not connected to Wi-Fi, and the error message said "There is no SIM card in this phone." So I connected it to HDA's Wi-Fi, and did research on why it would say there was no SIM card. (I doubted that anyone would have removed the SIM card, and they had not.)
- Researching these issues on the Internet told me that I had to download a new version of Spectrum's app for the phone, which I attempted to do.
- But I was required to enter the Spectrum User Name and Password to do this.
- HERE'S WHERE I MADE A DUMB MOVE: I could not find a working UN & PW for Spectrum, so I selected "Forgot Password?", thinking that Spectrum would provide it based on the profile information I gave them. BUT..... their system required me to create a new password.
- HERE'S WHERE I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED, and gotten Dr. P involved. I didn't; I changed the password on my own, and then downloaded the updated app for Spectrum onto the cell phone.
- HERE'S WHERE I OMITTED DOING THE RIGHT THING: I should have brought Dr. P up to speed on all the above before I left work on Tuesday evening. But I didn't even think about it. REALLY THOUGHTLESS.
- As a result of my a) dumb move, and b) thoughtless omission...... Dr. Pruitt received an email from Spectrum telling him someone had changed the Password on his account. He called me to ask if I had done that.
