READING, WRITING
Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS.
The author describes how early Homo Sapiens lived in relatively small groups, and did not show much connection to those outside the groups, except for trading of non-necessities (shells, etc). Some could go months or years and never connect with others outside their group.
This was in contrast to other Human Species who did not even form groups.
It's quite amazing to me that we can tell this (and more to come) from our 21st Century vantage point.
Some (i.e., religious people) would say he's got it wrong. I hope some day we'll find out for sure.
