The author, Yuval Noah Harari, again states that we don't know much for sure about the foratgers of 30K years ago, and we can only speculate that they had some form of religious or spiritual aspects.  We don't know what kind of stories they told, and so we can't really know for sure what they believed supernaturally.  The artwork is simply not enough to draw conclusions.
