EXERCISE
Did my 1+ routine for 11/1/19 on a Friday; this is the beginning of a new attempt to get my weight down to where it was (175).
- ankle/wrist circles 70
- toe/finger stretches 70
- bicycle crunches 70
- shoulder rolls 70
- inversion table 3 70-second sets
- push-ups 2 sets of 15
I'll do 2 sets of 15 push-ups (and squats) every day until 11/16, when I'll begin adding 1 additional rep each day per the calendar, until I reach 30; in December, I'll continue adding 1 per day until I reach 35, after which I'll do 2 sets of 35 push-ups, which will then be called "push-ups 70" and "squats 70."
READING, WRITING
Read 60 seconds in SAPIENS by Yuval Noah Harari. He says that the way we characterize our guides for living comes from imagination, and not from some universal truth. For example, when we're born, we are immediately subject to the messages from family & society around us. These are not anything more than the imaginations of the generations that have gone before us.
He could well be right.

Although I am deeply disappointed that David's Deal has yet again been "postponed" or whatever the case is, I am motivated to renew my personal challenge to "begin again," and strive to improve my well-being, physically and emotionally and psychologically and academically.
Perhaps I am motivated by the fact that it's November 1 today; I did not even THINK about beginning again when I woke up this morning; I was at Lisa's house, and did not even consider the date, or how "out of shape" I am right now. My weight had gone down last year to around 175, and I was in pretty good shape; people commented on my "thinness."
But I slacked off, due in part to my depression & disappointment over the David's Deal delay (a bunch of d's), and my weight gradually crept up to 193.
So this time, I'm giving myself 3 months to re-lose the approx. 20 pounds. I'll do my routine & record my weight every day on my Wells Fargo Bank calendar.
Along with the weight loss, I'll build muscle strength gradually, and breathe better and sleep better. I'll follow a healthy diet, too:
Breakfast 8:00 am: Fruit smoothie
Lunch 12:00 noon: Salad of any kind
Dinner 6:00 pm: Steamed veggies
*DAILY FAST is for 14 HOURS*
*NO BETWEEN MEAL SNACKS*
*NO DESSERTS*
