Tried to count off 60 seconds while I lay in bed first thing this morning. Hard to empty thoughts and have complete silence for any length of time, let alone a full minute. But I keep trying every day.

READING, WRITING

The author is beginning to describe life for Sapiens of 30K years ago, and almost immediately connects their developing DNA to how we live today. Addressing sweets and the Sapien tendency to over-indulge, he describes the 30K Sapien as having only ripe fruit to eat as "sweets" - and since they indulged in eating fruit - perhaps OVEReating fruit - we now have the same DNA sweet-tooth. So we over-indulge in sweet foods, live in highrises, and keep gaining weight.
But not me!
